Swimming is a sport that requires a lot of effort to become good at due to the vast number of different strokes and techniques there are. It is a sport that requires a considerable amount of muscle and technique otherwise you won’t be able to swim well. Many swimmers train their whole lives for a chance to make it to the Olympics or just to better themselves. Swimming is a sport that is great for your health as it works on everything in your body and requires you to eat more due to the number of calories you can burn. It takes a lot of work to become great at swimming, and some people can train until they know they can’t anymore but leave a legacy that others can look up to and try to beat.
The four main strokes for competitive swimming are freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and fly. These strokes all vary in technique and take different amounts of effort to master them. The easiest stroke would likely be freestyle as it is the first thing taught to new swimmers and is a great way to judge someone’s skill in the water so that you can decide what to work on. The next two strokes that I believe are easiest are backstroke and breaststroke. The reason I believe these are the same difficulty is because they both require different motions when compared to freestyle but are still easy to learn from a young age. The hardest stroke is fly, this is due to it being incredibly difficult to start learning and master, and it requires a considerable amount of energy as you must physically throw yourself through the water with your arms instead of gliding through it.
