Important Identities to Consider
Core identities are important to every team type as it allows them to function better, gain certain buffs based off what they can apply, or allow them to active certain passives to increase one skill’s damage. Some core identities might change how a status deals damage or use that status to deal incredible amounts of damage on their skills. An example of a core identity would be Spicebush Yi Sang, as he is able to consume sinking count on his opponents to turn it into his own unique status called sinking deluge which consumes normal sinking potency and count to deal an incredible amount of damage in a single hit.
Another important factor that can go into a core identity is how well they synergize with other identities in that same team. If one identity has a lot of potency or count, it would still be great to use, but it might affect the team's resonance as it might not have skills that fit in. An example of a core identity that has great synergy with the rest of its team is lord of hongyuan hong lu, as he pairs well with the rest of the team as he can allow them to use their skill three to do a pair up attack to inflict both extra status effects and deal bonus damage after pairing with him.
